Angela Freitas (athlete)

Angela Freitas de Fátima Araújo (born October 6, 2001 in Dili , East Timor ) is a middle and long distance runner from East Timor.

The 1.50 m tall athlete had her best placement in an international competition at the Southeast Asian Youth Games 2018 in Bangkok on April 3 over 800 meters with second place in 2: 12.29 minutes. At the Asian Games in Jakarta in 2018 , she was eliminated over the same distance with 2: 10.02 minutes in advance. It also starts on routes 1500 and 5000 meters in length.

On October 11, 2018, Freitas came in 13th at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires on the 3000 meter distance with 10: 00.36 min. In the cross-country run , she did not start as planned.

Over 1500 m, Freitas came fourth at the 2019 Southeast Asian Games .
