Angela Stöckl-Wolkerstorfer (born February 7, 1968 in Vienna ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and physiotherapist. She was a member of the Austrian Federal Council for Lower Austria from 2013 to 2018 and is the mother of three daughters.

education and profession

Angela Stöckl-Wolkerstorfer attended elementary school in Großebersdorf from 1974 to 1978 and then graduated from GRG 21 Vienna from 1978 to 1986, where she also passed the Matura . Furthermore, from 1986 to 1989, she continued her education at the school for physiotherapeutic services in Vienna- Ottakring and in 1989 she graduated as a physiotherapist from the Wilhelminenspital . Stöckl worked from March 15, 1989 to February 28, 1997 as a physiotherapist at the Mistelbach Hospital, where she was in charge of electrotherapy and taught electrotherapy to MTF students. Since September 8, 1997 she has been working as a physiotherapist at the Mödling state nursing home.

On August 26, 2016 she married Otto Wolkerstorfer, whose name she has been using since then.

Politics and functions

Angela Stöckl-Wolkerstorfer was a member of the Young People's Party and joined the Austrian Workers' Union in 2010 . Until she moved to Baden from 2010 to 2014, she was a member of the municipal council of the market town of Oberwaltersdorf and also a member of the extended parish council of the ÖVP Oberwaltersdorf. In September 2011 she was local director of the ÖVP Frauen Oberwaltersdorf and on April 24, 2013 , she was sent to the Austrian Federal Council by the Lower Austrian state parliament . Since March 2014 she has been involved in the city management of the "Wir Niederösterreicherinnen" ÖVP women Baden as well as in their district management in the Baden district . In September 2016, after the resignation of Mayor Kurt Staska, she replaced him on the municipal council of Baden. Stöckl names the expansion of the care competence centers, the promotion of children and young people, child care, education policy, a sustainable health policy and a "contemporary" family policy as her political priorities.

Stöckl-Wolkerstorfer was active as a parish councilor from 2012 to 2017 and was nominated in February 2013 at the Sportland Niederösterreich competition as the regional winner for the industrial district with Oktini (Oberwaltersdorfer Kinderturninitiative, where she is active as a trainer). In November 2012 she was also the industrial district winner in the VP internal competition of the generations with the generation cafe of the ÖVP women in Oberwaltersdorf.

After the state elections in Lower Austria in 2018 , she left the Federal Council on March 21, 2018.
