Angela Wiedl
Angela Wiedl (born March 16, 1967 in Munich ) is a German popular pop singer .
Life
Childhood and youth
Angela Wiedl grew up in a musical family. Her parents Wilhelm (born October 26, 1940; † January 23, 2017) and Irmengard are well-known yodelers , and her brother Willi (born March 10, 1964) is an opera singer .
Professional background
At the age of twelve she was on stage with the Original Chiemgau Buam . After finishing school, she first learned to be a tax clerk assistant . From 1981 she was a singer with the Tegernsee Alpine Quintet , with which she released seven albums.
In 1991 her first solo album was released. The following year, she took the title , but the palpitations, the owe you i am Grand Prix of Folk Music in 1992 in part and reached the 12th place. This made her known nationwide. In the same year, the single Mama Theresa was released , in which she sang about the Nobel Peace Prize laureate Mother Teresa . At the Grand Prix of Folk Music in 1995 Angela Wiedl was again represented with Wo sind die Gypunerben haben and reached 10th place. In 1998 , she came 14th with Wer die Heimat Loves, in 1996 she took the German preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest together with Dalila Cernatescu ( Panpipe ) 3rd place. Her song Echos was composed by Ralph Siegel . She is a frequent guest at popular television and radio events. She won the popular music super hit parade several times . In 2006 her album I believe in God was released .
In 2008 her best of album was released: "Welcome - your most beautiful songs for the 30th stage anniversary". The Angela Wiedl album “The Angel by Your Side” has been on sale since May 30, 2008. Angela Wiedl wrote: " 12 new songs that will definitely please your hearts, because they are songs that tell stories and maybe also show a whole new side of me ". On July 11, 2008, Angela Wiedl appeared on Bavarian television in the “A Song for Munich” competition , where she took first place with her title Munich shines .
Personal
Angela Wiedl was married to Walter Schmidt until 2007 and had a daughter (* March 27, 2000; † June 13, 2005) who had suffered from ADEM , a rare disease of the central nervous system , from the age of three . She died of a brain embolism.
On September 18, 2011 she married Uwe Erhardt (member of the group Die Schäfer ). Their daughter was born on June 22, 2012.
