Angelika C. Messner

Angelika C. Messner (* 1961 in Sterzing ) is an Italian-German sinologist .

Life

Messner studied medicine , sinology , ethnology and the history of medicine at the universities of Innsbruck , Vienna and Freiburg im Breisgau as well as in Beijing .

She received her doctorate in 1998 and completed her habilitation in 2007 at the University of Kiel . There she heads the China Center. She was visiting professor at the TU Berlin and at the Shanghai University for Traditional Chinese Medicine.
