Angelina Jordan Astar (born January 10, 2006 ) is a Norwegian singer . In 2014, at the age of eight, she won Norske Talenter, Norway's version of the casting show Got Talent , where she sang classic jazz standards such as Gloomy Sunday and Summertime.

Life

Jordan's mother is Norwegian of Iranian origin, her father is Swede. She has a younger sister and has lived in Oslo since the family returned from the USA . There she attended the Waldorf School as well as the extracurricular program of the University of Music and Performing Arts for singing training . She also plays the piano, violin and flute.

Videos of Jordan's appearances on YouTube became an internet phenomenon and drew the attention of media around the world. Time magazine and People magazine, among others, dedicated articles to her. In 2014 she performed at the Nobel Peace Prize concert and with Fly Me to the Moon on the US TV program The View .

In 2020 Angelina Jordan took part in the 2nd season of the casting show America's Got Talent: The Champions , an offshoot of America's Got Talent , where jury member Heidi Klum pressed the so-called golden buzzer for her in the first auditions .

In 2018 , Jordan's first album It's Magic was released, accompanied by Forsvarets Stabsmusikkorps and on its music label (Forsvarets Musikk) . In addition to 14 cover versions of well-known jazz standards, including some instrumentals , it contains two pieces of music written by Jordan himself .
