Angelo Barletta (born February 11, 1977 in Hanau ) is a former Italian - German soccer player and today's coach .
Career as a player
Angelo Barletta began his career at TSV 1860 Hanau and later moved to VfB Groß-Auheim. Further stations were Eintracht Frankfurt , Rot-Weiß Walldorf , Spvgg. 03 Neu-Isenburg and SG Hoechst . Between 2001 and 2004 he played for Kickers Offenbach in the Regionalliga Süd and was one of the top performers and team captain there. In 2004 he moved to the second division club FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt and, after the Thuringians were relegated in 2005, joined Sportfreunde Siegen . For the South Westphalia he scored a goal in 30 games in the 2005/06 season . He was appointed team captain by coach Hannes Bongartz and replaced Peter Németh in this position . After he was relegated with the winners for the second time in a row from the 2nd Bundesliga , he moved to the Greek second division club Panserraikos .
From 2007 Barletta played for FSV Frankfurt , with whom he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2008. In the summer of 2009 he moved to the second division relegated VfL Osnabrück . There he scored the goal of the month in the round of 16 of the DFB Cup on October 27, 2009 . On May 8, 2010 Barletta celebrated the championship title of the 3rd division with Osnabrück and thus the return to the 2nd division. After only one year, he had to relegate with VfL at the end of the 2010/11 season due to a defeat in the relegation game against Dynamo Dresden .
For the 2011/12 season Barletta moved to the Regionalliga West and signed a contract with TuS Koblenz until 2013. In Koblenz, he was supposed to lead a young team as a leading player to stay up. During the summer of 2012, Barletta suffered a severe herniated disc and had to retire from his career.
Career as a coach
Barletta stayed in Koblenz and was employed as a coach in the club. He worked as an assistant coach for the 1st team and looked after the club's U-19 team. In January 2014 he returned to his former club Kickers Offenbach and played for the second team in the league until the end of the season.
From July 1, 2014, Barletta was the player-coach of the Hessen division SC Viktoria Griesheim , whom he looked after for two years. In the summer of 2016 he took over the position of coach at league rivals FC Bayern Alzenau . In December 2019 he moved to Kickers Offenbach .
