Angels Peak

The Angels Peak is a 982  m high mountain in the West Antarctic Queen Elizabeth Land . In the Dufek massif of the Pensacola Mountains, it rises as the highest point of the Forlidas Ridge where the latter meets two other unnamed mountain ridges of the massif.

The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee made the designation in 2004. It was named after the fact that a field research team on the way to this mountain saw an Antarctic petrel circling in the sunlight like an angel ( Spanish angel ).
