Anger 77 is a German rock band from Erfurt in Thuringia .
Band history
The name of the band was formed from the address of the rehearsal room on the Erfurt Anger .
Andreas "Sigi" Siegmund (vocals) and René "Kocher" Koch (guitar) are the only two members who have always been part of the band since it was founded in 1990. In the beginning, the brothers Alexander (guitar) and Sebastian Jaschke (drums) as well as their father Volkmar "Colt" Jaschke (bass) were part of the cast. The latter was replaced by Matthias Huck in 1992. In 1995 Daniel Riethmüller (bass), Ludwig Kendzia (guitar) and Fabian Kendzia (drums) finally joined the band and replaced Matthias Huck and the Jaschke brothers.
The band is a turning product, which means that the students did not have to submit to the regulations for music groups in force in the GDR . Without government control, however, the autodidacts enjoyed making music and were lucky enough to be considered hopeful by Fury in the Slaughterhouse . After a test gig in September 1992 (with Poems for Laila as the third act) in the Erfurt Thuringia Hall , Anger 77 was awarded the contract for a Fury tour through the new federal states in 1993.
The first CD group therapy was a simple demo recordings -Pressung at a Chemnitzer small label , but soon the grabbed for EMI Group owned major label Intercord Anger 77 to Alone in the plane to produce and publish in June 1998th
Anger 77 has played a Christmas concert in Erfurt every year on December 23rd since 1997. In the last few years the HsD / Museumskeller has become a regular venue for this event. They were supported by Tim Hespen (system hysteria), Theo in Milk, Die Art , the Erfurt singer Jean Lelá and various projects by Hannes Kinder .
