Angiolo Profeti
Angiolo Profeti (born May 23, 1918 in Castelfiorentino , † 1981 ) was an Italian shot putter and discus thrower .
At the European Athletics Championships in Paris in 1938 , he was seventh in the shot put.
In 1949 he won the unofficial premiere of the Mediterranean Games in Istanbul in the shot put and discus throw. In the shot put, he won silver at the Euro 1950 in Brussels and at the 1951 Mediterranean Games in Alexandria and was twelfth at the 1952 Olympic Games in Helsinki.
15 times he was Italian champion in the shot put (1938–1942, 1945–1954) and once in the discus throw (1950). In 1938 he became the English champion in the shot put. He set his personal best in the shot put of 15.42 m on June 8, 1952 in Milan .
