Angus Imrie

Angus Imrie (born August 2, 1994 on the Isle of Wight ) is a British actor and radio play speaker . He is best known for the role of "Josh Archer" on the BBC radio 4 drama series The Archers .

Imrie was born the son of actors Celia Imrie and Benjamin Whitrow .

Since childhood he has had engagements in various stage, television and radio productions. After making his cinema debut at the age of five on the BBC One film-drama Station Jim , he appeared in the ITV drama series Kingdom in 2007 and in the BBC One mini-series Restless in 2012 . That same year he appeared on the BBC Two drama series The Hollow Crown , while the following year he starred in the BBC One series Father Brown . Before visiting LAMDA (2015-2017) he performed at the Globe Theater in London and played the role of "Bagot" in William Shakespeare's drama Richard II and "Ned Spiggett" in Jessica Swale's play "Nell Gwynn". He has also appeared on a number of radio productions including "The Treasure Seekers," Charles Dickens ' " Great Expectations," and John Mortimer's "A Voyage Round My Father."

In 2014 he took on the role of "Josh Archer" on the BBC Radio 4 series The Archers . In the same year he played the role of cabin boy Pip in "The White Whale" and in 2019, among other things, under the direction of Joe Cornish in the film If You Were King, the role of young Merlin .
