Anita Huffington
Anita Huffington (born December 25, 1934 in Baltimore , Maryland ) is an American sculptor .
Life
Anita Huffington came to New York City in 1954 to study dance and modern dance under Martha Graham . She shared an apartment with Franz Kline and Mary Frank , wife of Robert Frank , one of the leading exponents of abstract expressionism . Huffington later studied at the University of North Carolina , Bennington College and the University of South Florida , and received a BA and an MFA from the City College of New York .
In the mid-1970s, she toured the United States with her husband, Hank Sutter. They bought a log cabin in the Arkansas woods near Fayetteville . There she set up a studio and devoted herself entirely to sculpture.
