Anja Feldmann
Anja Feldmann (born March 8, 1966 in Bielefeld ) is a German computer scientist and director at the Max Planck Institute for Computer Science .
life and work
Feldmann studied computer science at the University of Paderborn and received her diploma in 1990. She then moved to Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh ( USA ), where she received her M.Sc. and in 1995 with Daniel Sleator with a dissertation on the subject of "On-line call admission for high-speed networks" for Ph.D. received his doctorate. After four years as a postdoc at AT&T Labs Research , she accepted a call to the Saarland University in 2000 , where she took over the chair for computer networking . In 2002 she turned down a call to ETH Zurich and instead accepted a call to the Faculty of Computer Science at the Technical University of Munich , where she was the first full professor of the faculty to take over the "Chair for Network Architecture, Telematics, Tele-Cooperation". Since 2006 she has been Professor of Internet Network Architectures at the Technical University of Berlin (until December 2013 an endowed chair at Telekom Innovation Laboratories ). From 2010 to 2013 she was dean of the faculty for electrical engineering and computer science at the TU Berlin. In 2017, Feldmann was appointed director at the Max Planck Institute for Computer Science in Saarbrücken .
In May 2012, Anja Feldmann was elected to the supervisory board of SAP as the first woman on the employer side .
Feldmann mainly deals with internet traffic analysis and modeling as well as internet routing .
