Anjli Mohindra

Anjli Mohindra (born February 20, 1990 in West Bridgford , Nottinghamshire , England ) is a British actress .

Life

Anjli Mohindra grew up in West Bridgford. She completed a television workshop in Nottingham . Mohindra made her first television appearance in 2006 in the television series Coronation Street . Mohindra became known for her leading role as Rani Chandra in The Sarah Jane Adventures . She played this role from season two and in 40 episodes of the series. In 2014, Mohindra played Fahmida in the film My Jihad .

In addition to her appearances in film and television, Anjli Mohindra can also be seen in the theater. She played Kehkashan in the 2014 Indian slum drama Behind the Beautiful Forevers at the Royal National Theater . Kehkashan has recently left her husband and is returning to Annawadi. Mohindra has also appeared in the plays: The Importance of Being Earnest, Starcross'd, East is East and Twelfth Night.
