Anke Schwarzenberg

Anke Schwarzenberg (born May 6, 1954 in Hamburg ) is a German politician ( Die Linke ) and a member of the Brandenburg state parliament between 2015 and 2019 .

After graduating from high school in 1972, Anke Schwarzenberg completed a mechanical engineering degree, which she completed in 1976 with a degree in engineering. She then worked in the Lusatian lignite mining area and its recultivation.

Anke Schwarzenberg joined the SED in 1976 and, through its successor parties, is now a member of Die Linke. She was active in local politics as a member of the Forest City Council from 2003 to 2011 and now in Cottbus since 2014 as well as a member of the district council in the Forst district from 1990 to 1998 and in the Spree-Neisse district from 2003 to 2008. Since January 2015 she has been a successor for Christian Görke to the state parliament.
