Ann-Cathrin Giegerich (born January 4, 1992 in Erlenbach) is a German handball player .

Career

Ann-Cathrin Giegerich played in her youth at TV Großwallstadt and from 2007 at HSG Sulzbach / Leidersbach . In the 2009/10 season she also played in the 2nd handball league for TV Mainzlar due to a double play right . In 2011 the 1.81 meter tall goalkeeper moved to SG BBM Bietigheim , with whom she was promoted to the handball Bundesliga in 2013. In 2017 she won the German championship with Bietigheim. Then she joined the Neckarsulmer Sport Union . From the 2018/19 season she ran for the Thuringian HC . In the summer of 2020 she joined the Hungarian first division club Debreceni Vasutas SC .

Giegerich took part in the U-17 World Championship in 2009, in the U-18 World Championship in 2010 and in the U-19 European Championship in 2011. On June 3, 2012, she made her debut in the women's national team against Azerbaijan .
