Ann-Elen Skjelbreid

Ann-Elen Skjelbreid (born September 13, 1971 in Bergen ) is a former Norwegian biathlete .

Ann-Elen Skjelbreid won bronze at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano and silver in the relay in Salt Lake City in 2002 . At the 1996 World Cup in Ruhpolding she won silver over 7.5 kilometers, at the 1995 World Cup in Antholz she won bronze and in 1997 in Osrblie silver with the relay. In the World Cup she had to be satisfied with six second places. In 2006 she ended her career.

Ann-Elen Skjelbreid also has family roots in Norwegian biathlon. Her sister is Liv Grete Poirée , her brother-in-law is the French Raphael Poirée . She is married to Egil Gjelland herself , and their daughter was born in October 2004. Liv-Kjersti Eikeland is a cousin.
