Ann Goldstein

Ann Goldstein (* 1957 in Los Angeles ) is an American museum director .

life and work

Goldstein was born in Los Angeles in 1957 and studied at the University of California, Los Angeles .

From 1983 to 2009 she worked at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles as chief curator and focused on minimalism and conceptual art .

In 2010 Goldstein became general director of the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. On December 1, 2013, she resigned from this office.

Goldstein is the curator of numerous exhibitions. She works for the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles , the Museum of Modern Art , the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York and the K21 in Düsseldorf .
