Anna Breitenbach

Anna Breitenbach (* 1952 in Hesse ) is a German author , poet and performer who also devotes herself to action art and cross-disciplinary art.

Life

Anna Breitenbach studied German and political science in Göttingen and Tübingen and attended the German School of Journalism in Munich. She worked as a journalist for the Stuttgarter Zeitung and the Süddeutscher Rundfunk Stuttgart, among others . Her first novel, Stranger People , was published in 2000 and won the 2001 Squidward Troll Prize . Since 2002 Anna Breitenbach has been a member of the jury at the Literary Forum Oberschwaben. Your first volume of poetry, fire. Land was published in 2003. From 2004 to 2008 she was on the board and jury of the support group for writers in Baden-Württemberg. In 2005 she took over the conception and editing of a series in the Eßlinger Zeitung Fresh Poems, unpublished poems by German-speaking authors . From 2005 several performances, word actions and exhibitions followed. Anna Breitenbach has been performing at poetry slams since 2009 . 2011 annual campaign "natural sealing" in the Maillepark in Esslingen. 2012 "Guerilla Gardening" a video film with booklet "transitions" together with the photographer and videographer Werner Reichelt. Opening of the daWanda shop "poetry-works" in the same year. In 2014 one of her poems was presented in the series Lyrik am Morgen von Bayern 2 . 2015 in the "Yearbook of Poetry" of the DVA: "The most important voices of contemporary poetry". Kulturfest Esslingen, Stadt im Fluss - "urban poetry", video performance with Werner Reichelt: "Let's bring words into the city!" 2015 annual project "Poets in the Vineyard" as part of the Baden-Württemberg Literature Days 2016. 2016 Book presentation of poetry book "House and Farm, Things, People. Useful Poems" at the Stuttgart Night of Poetry in the Stuttgart City Library. LesArt Esslingen, exhibition of poetic objects and reading in the Villa Nagel. Reading series "Annas Abende" at Loretta, Kulturgarage Stuttgart.
