Anna Brodersen

Anna Brodersen ( Anne Brodersen ; * February 16, 1903 in Kiel ; † July 18, 1971 there ) was a German politician of the SPD .

Life and work

After elementary school, Anna Brodersen worked as a commercial clerk from 1920 to 1923 . She joined the SAJ in 1920 and the SPD a year later. In the years before 1933 she was a member of the district board of the SPD in Kiel. From 1943 to 1945 she was conscripted for military service in the Berlin-Wilmersdorf economic office . After 1945 she took part in the reconstruction of the SPD in Berlin-Köpenick , where she was the district women's leader until 1948. In 1949 she became a board member of the SPD Schleswig-Holstein and returned to Kiel. From 1951 to 1963 she was councilor in Kiel, from 1956 to 1963 she was also a member of the city's magistrate . From 1954 until November 4, 1968, she was deputy in the parliament of Schleswig-Holstein . She represented the constituency of Kiel-Süd in parliament. From 1958 to 1967 Brodersen was chairman of the state parliament committee for people's welfare. The Landtag elected her to the second Federal Assembly , which on July 17, 1954 re-elected Theodor Heuss as Federal President.

Honors

In 1958 Brodersen was awarded the Freiherr vom Stein Medal of the State of Schleswig-Holstein.

At the suggestion of the Schleswig-Holstein state government , she was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit 1st Class on January 22, 1968 .
