Anna Easteden
Anna East of Eden (* 29. November 1976 in Tohmajärvi as Anna Katariina Shemeikka ) is a Finnish - American actress . She is best known for her appearance as Bee Sting in Who wants to be a superhero? (2007).
Life
Easteden was born in Tohmajärvi, Finland, as the daughter of successful dairy farmers. She has a younger brother named Antti. Easteden grew up in Finland until she was a teenager, had excellent academic performance and graduated as the youngest in class.
Model career
Easteden graduated from a Finnish modeling school at the age of 12 and was booked for her first modeling job in Finland shortly afterwards. She appeared on her first front page after winning a national competition hosted by a popular teen magazine, SinäMinä (as Anna Shemeikka).
Easteden then received her first international modeling contract from a Japanese modeling agency and went to Tokyo . There she appeared in advertisements from companies such as Kanebo , Sony , Nissan , Wacoal , Oricom and NEC . She was Akira Kimijima's house model and had an exclusive contract with a Japanese cosmetics company.
Easteden also worked as a model in Hong Kong , Taiwan , Korea , Singapore , Malaysia , Indonesia , New Zealand , Slovakia , Guam and finally in the USA, where Easteden worked as a model for numerous companies.
Acting career
Easteden started her acting career in commercials in Japan, Taiwan and the USA. In her first role she played Sleeping Beauty in the play of the same name, which was staged at Downer's Grove Tivoli Theater in Chicago .
Easteden is known for her appearance as the super villain Bee Sting in Who wants to be a superhero? . Her other television roles include Bones (2006), Passions (2008) and Zeit der Sehnsucht (2003).
Humanitarian work
Easteden conducted a comparative research study on the various legal aspects of asylum procedures in selected European countries for the United Nations Commissioner for Refugees in Bratislava .
Easteden continues its work in Bratislava with an international partner of "The Foundation of Civil Society" (USA). There she was involved in the citizen campaign “OK 98 for free and fair elections”.
Personal
Easteden married the US baseball coach Rob McKinley in 2007 . Easteden lives in Los Angeles .
