Anna Katharina Hahn
Anna Katharina Hahn (born October 20, 1970 in Ruit auf den Fildern ) is a German writer .
life and work
After graduating from high school in Stuttgart in 1990, Anna Katharina Hahn began studying German , English and folklore at the University of Hamburg , which she completed in 1995 with a master's degree. From 1996 to 2001 she worked as a research assistant in the German Bible Archive and in the manuscript department of the Hamburg State and University Library . In addition to scientific publications on late medieval history Bibles, she published literary texts in magazines and anthologies as well as two volumes of short stories. In 2004 she took part in the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition in Klagenfurt . In 2009 her first novel Shorter Days was published. After her novel Am Schwarzen Berg, which plays with motifs by Eduard Mörike , and her novel The Dress of My Mother (2016), which deals with the effects of the economic crisis in Spain, the family novel Aus und vom was published in 2020 , which deals with the distribution of care work between women and men.
She is a member of the PEN Center Germany and now lives with her family in Stuttgart ; her husband is Jan Bürger from the Marbach Literature Archive.
