Anna Lehmann-Brauns

Anna Lehmann-Brauns (* 1967 in Berlin ) is a German artist who specializes in photographs of interiors, which she originally photographs - deserted - or initially builds them herself in miniature size. She calls these spaces “spaces of longing”. Her father is the politician Uwe Lehmann-Brauns , her great-grandfather the painter Paul Lehmann-Brauns .

She studied at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig and was in 2001 a master student of Joachim Brohm . In 2002 she received a grant from the Heinrich Böll Foundation and was able to work in Switzerland with a DAAD travel grant .

In November and December 2007 she had an exhibition with the title “Sun in an empty room” in the “Kommunale Galerie” in Berlin, which was also noticed abroad. Her exhibition "Lived Spaces" was shown in Berlin and Darmstadt.

Anna Lehmann-Brauns lives and works in Berlin.
