Anna Schuleit (* 1974 in Mainz ) is a German-American painter and installation artist .

Anna Schuleit studied painting in the USA . She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1998 and a Master of Arts degree from Dartmouth College in 2005 . She has lived in the USA since 1994.

In July 2006 she received a research fellowship at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Studies at Harvard University . In the same year she was named a MacArthur Fellow of the MacArthur Foundation in Chicago . This award is also known as the "Genius Prize", as the prize money is given to the winners without any conditions or restrictions as recognition of their "future creative potential".

Since then she has been working on a series of paintings that were first exhibited in the fall of 2009 under the title "Two People Ago" at the Coleman Burke Gallery in New York .
