Anna Valerjewna Scherebjatjewa ( Russian Анна Валерьевна Жеребятьева ; at the FIS according to English transcription Anna Zherebyateva ; born February 24, 1997 ) is a Russian cross-country skier .

Career

Scherebjatjewa started in Vershina Tjoi for the first time in the Eastern Europe Cup in November 2015 and finished 44th in the 10 km freestyle, 40th in the sprint and 37th in 5 km classic. In the following year she achieved her first top ten placement in the Eastern Europe Cup with seventh place over 10 km classic in Werschina Tjoi. At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2017 in Soldier Hollow , she won the gold medal with the relay. In the individual races she came in 16th place in the skiathlon and 14th place over 5 km freestyle. In August 2017 she won the gold medal at the Rollerski Junior World Championships in Sollefteå over 13.5 km freestyle and in the mass start race over 12 km. She ran her first World Cup races in November 2017 at the Ruka Triple in Ruka . With places 85, 41 and 34 she achieved 41st place overall. In January 2018 she got her first World Cup points in Planica with the 28th place over 10 km classic. At the U23 World Championships in Goms in 2018 , she won the silver medal over 10 km classic. In the 2018/19 season she finished 27th in the Lillehammer Triple and achieved her first podium in the World Cup in Beitostølen with second place in the relay. At the U23 World Championships in Lahti in 2019 , she won the gold medal in the 15 km mass start race.
