Anna Wysokińska (born June 17, 1987 in Wroclaw , born Anna Baranowska ) is a former Polish handball player who was a member of the Polish national team.
Career
In the club
Anna Wysokińska started playing handball at the Polish club MKS Vitaral Jelfa Jelenia Góra and joined SMS Gliwice in 2003. In 2006, the goalkeeper moved to the Szczecin club KS Łącznościowiec Poczta Polska Szczecin. After KS Łącznościowiec suffered from financial problems, she joined SPR Lublin in 2009. With Lublin, Wysokińska won the Polish championship in 2010 and the Polish Cup in 2010 and 2012.
Wysokińska signed a three-year contract with the German second division club SV Union Halle-Neustadt in the summer of 2012 . A season later, she left Halle prematurely and joined the Bundesliga promoted SG BBM Bietigheim . From the 2015/16 season she played for the Turkish club Ankara Yenimahalle. She ended her career in the summer of 2017. Wysokińska later took over the post of goalkeeping coach at TGS Pforzheim .
In the national team
Anna Wysokińska played a total of 47 international matches for the Polish national team until December 2015. With the Polish selection, the goalkeeper took part in the 2013 World Cup in Serbia , where she finished fourth. During the tournament, she parried 48 of 157 goal throws.
Private
Anna Wysokińska has been married since 2013. Her younger sister Aleksandra Baranowska played handball in the 2nd Bundesliga at BSV Sachsen Zwickau, where she also guards the goal.
