The Anna Chapel

The Anna chapel is in Irresheim near Nörvenich , Düren district .

The chapel was built in 1888. The small plot of land was given to the former community of Irresheim by a Mr. Hergarten from Merzenich . The construction costs were raised through collections in the small village. The small bell is said to have been dismantled during the First World War .

In the Anna chapel stands the figure "Anna as an educator". At the beginning of the 1970s, the building was thoroughly renovated. Among other things, the chapel got a new door. The new windows were designed and made by a local glass artist at the time. Until the 1960s the road went Corpus Christi procession of the parish Hochkirchen to their parish belongs astray home, every two years by misleading home.
