Anne Boileau

Anne Boileau (born July 16, 1975 in Les Sables-d'Olonne ) is a former French table tennis player . She won the French championship ten times. Her strengths included serving and topspin .

National successes

From 1998 to 2003 she was French individual champion six times in a row . There is also a title in doubles in 1999 with Anne-Sophie Gourin and three wins in mixed from 1996 to 1998, each with Christophe Legoût .

Germany

In 1997 Boileau moved from the French club Kremlin-Bicetre to the German Bundesliga for FC Langweid . Here she caused displeasure when she competed and won the national French championships in 1998, but reported sick at the German play-off games. Langweid assessed this behavior as contrary to the contract. A few months later Boileau left the club for Montpellier.

International success

Boileau's first international success was second at the European Youth Championships in 1993 behind Zuzana Poliačková . From 1995 to 2000 she was nominated four times for world championships . At the European Championships in 1994 she reached the semi-finals in doubles with Sylvie Plaisant . In 1996 (with Christophe Legoût ), 1998 (with Nicolas Chatelain ) and 2000 (with Christophe Legoût) she reached the quarterfinals in mixed.

In 1992 she qualified for participation in the Summer Olympics , where she was eliminated in the first round in both singles and doubles.

In 1999 she was ranked 21 in the ITTF world rankings and eighth in the European rankings.

After undergoing wrist surgery in 2001, she ended her international career. Currently (2009) she plays in the third division at TT La Roche sur Yon.

Private

Boileau is married and has two children. She earns her living as a real estate agent.
