Zuzana Poliačková

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Zuzana Poliačková , married Demianová (born November 10, 1975 in Žilina ) is a former Slovak table tennis player . She became European Youth Champion in 1993.

Career

Zuzana Poliačková began playing table tennis in 1984 with the STO Rajecké Teplice club, and from 1985 to 1988 she played with ZVL Žilina. She then moved to the clubs SVŠ Bratislava and STO Lokomotíva Bratislava (from 1990 ŠKST Butterfly Bratislava), where she was supported for two years by the coaches Milan Mach and Vladimír Mihočko. In 1990 she and Ľubica Mládková from ZŤS Topoľčany became Czechoslovakian champion in women's doubles. In the same discipline she also won the Slovakian championship title seven times (1990 with Renata Budayová-Žaťková, 1991 with Adriana Brunaiová, 1992 with Alena Vachovcová and 1996-1999 each with Valentina Popovová ). In 1991, 1992 and 2005, Zuzana Poliačková also won the individual Slovak championship title. In the mid-1990s she joined the Banka Hodonín association.

From TuS Bad Driburg Poliačková first moved to the Czech club SK Frýdlant nad Ostravicí and from there to SKST Baník Havířov, with whom the 2004 team championship won. She has been playing for MSK Břeclav since 2004, with whom she won the championship again in 2005.

In 1993 she appeared internationally for the first time and won the European Youth Championship (Juniors) in Ljubljana in front of the French Anne Boileau . In the first set, the referees overlooked a point from the French when the score was 26:25 for Poliačková. After Poliačková had won the set, she pointed out the mistake and the result of the set was corrected. For this she was awarded an honorary diploma by the International Fair Play Committee of UNESCO (CIFP) and the Club Fair Play Prize by the National Olympic Committee of Slovakia. In the same year she was nominated for a world championship for the first time . Until 2006 she took part in all nine world championships. She reached the quarter-finals in doubles at European Championships three times, in 1994 and 1998 with Valentina Popovová, and in 2003 with Eva Ódorová .

In 2006 she ended her international career. Zuzana Demianová has been with MSK Břeclav since 2004, and has been in the B team for several years.

Germany

In 1997, Zuzana Poliačková joined the German club SV Darmstadt 98 - coming from TJ Banka Hodonin . Here she stayed for two years and then went to the Bundesliga club TuS Bad Driburg , which she left again in 2002 after reaching 2nd place in the championship.
