Alena Vachovcová (born January 24, 1974 in Stod ) is a Czech table tennis player . She took part in the 2004 Olympic Games .
Career
In doubles with Zuzana Poliačková , she won the Slovak championship title in 1992.
In 2003 Vachovcová became the Czech individual champion. In doubles she won the Czech championship in 1994 (together with Jana Dobešová ), 1996 (with Hana Plachá), 1998 (with Andrea Botková), 2001 (with Ivana Weberová), 2002 (with Renáta Štrbíková ) as well as 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 (each with Iveta Vacenovská ). In 2001 and 2003 she also became Czech mixed champions together with Martin Pytlík.
She achieved her first international success in adolescence. In 1988 she reached the final at the European Youth Championships in mixed with Szilard Csolle, and in 1991 she won the title in the TOP 12 of the juniors.
She took part in the European Championships in 1996 , between 1991 and 2004 in eight world championships and together with Renáta Štrbíková in the double competition at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.
Vachovcová initially worked for ŠKST Bratislava in the 1990s and then moved to ŠKST ČSAD Hodonín, where she was trained by Richard Brhel. In 1995 she worked for Postas Sport E. Budapest. From 1998 to 2001 she strengthened the Homberger TS team in the 2nd Bundesliga . She played for ČSAD Hodonín in 2002/03 , 2003/04 , 2005/06 , 2008/09 , 2009/10 and 2010/11 in the Superliga .
