Anne Dreesbach

Anne Dreesbach (born October 1971 in Munich ) is a German publisher, book designer and author. In 2006 she founded August Dreesbach Verlag in Munich. In addition to historical publications and biographies, Anne Dreesbach also writes non-fiction books on socially relevant topics.

Life and activity

Anne Dreesbach studied modern history, medieval history and English literature at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . Her dissertation dealt with "The display of exotic people around 1900" and was published by Campus-Verlag , Frankfurt. After her doctorateShe worked for several years as a research assistant at the chair for educational and university history at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and at the university archive. Together with Michael Kamp and Florian Neumann, Dreesbach founded the history agency Neumann & Kamp Historische Projekte in 2001. Neumann & Kamp specializes in company histories and biographies. Dreesbach acts as a book designer herself. In addition, she wrote numerous books, for example on German economic history, the history of dogs, a Munich travel guide and various magazine articles, for example for Mare or Back then .

Publishing activity

In 2006 Anne Dreesbach founded August Dreesbach Verlag in Munich, which specializes in corporate publishing, Munich, typography and art. The publishing house is characterized in particular by its modern design and high-quality furnishings for the books. The publisher published, among other things, the company stories of MAN , Pfanni and Fresenius , biographies about personalities such as Dieter Spethmann or Ilse Kubaschewski as well as numerous publications on the history of the Wittelsbach family .

Anne Dreesbach has three daughters and lives near Landshut.
