Anne F. Garréta
Anne Françoise Garréta (born 1962 in Paris ) is a French writer.
Life
Anne Garréta attended the École normal supérieure de Fontenay-Saint-Cloud . She studied, did her doctorate at Duke University with a thesis on les "fins de roman" aux XVIIème et XVIIIème siècles and worked at Princeton University . Her first novel Sphinx was published by Grasset in 1986 . In 1991/92 she was a scholarship holder of the Académie de France à Rome (Villa Médicis) in Rome.
Garréta has been working at the University of Rennes 2 since 1995 . In 1999 she was accepted into the artist group Oulipo with the book La Décomposition . In 2002 she received the Prix Médicis for Pas un jour .
