Anne Perrier
Anne Perrier (born on June 16, 1922 in Lausanne ; died on January 16, 2017 in Saxon , canton of Valais ) was a Swiss French poet and the first woman to be awarded the French Grand prix national de la poésie .
Life
Anne Perrier was born in 1922 as the daughter of an architect from Vaud and an Alsatian housewife in Lausanne, where she also spent her childhood and youth. She passed her Matura at the former girls' high school in Lausanne, after which she began studying literature at the University of Lausanne . While studying, she published her first poem in the Geneva Resistance magazine Lettres ; there she became acquainted with Jean Starobinski . In 1947 she received her first recognition for her lyrical work when she was awarded the Prix Foloppe .
In 1971 she was awarded the Prix Rambert for Lettres perdues, and in 2012 she was named the first recipient of the Grand prix national de la poésie by the French Minister of Culture, Frédéric Mitterrand .
