action

When Anne Lunde is not with her friend Beate, she fights with her brother Ole, or does things that one would expect from boys. At the beginning of the 5th grade (5th grade), however, she falls head over heels in love with the new boy in her class, Philipp Ruge. He is new in town and is moving into a house that is known as a haunted house. But Anne is not alone, even the prettiest girl in school, Ellen, falls in love with Philipp, which leads to an open fight between the two rivals. In contrast to Anne, Ellen is blonde and has the “world's longest and most beautiful ponytail”. She always wears clean clothes from the current fashion collection and models in TV commercials. Anne takes up the fight, however, and faces many humiliations and setbacks. During this phase, she compares herself with a certain Helga, who was supposedly walled up by her father in a wall of the haunted house because of the love for her crush. Most adults, including Anne's parents, do not believe in love at Anne's age, but it does prove that you can be in love at her age.

Popular success

The number of visitors to the Norwegian cinemas was 165,872. The film opened the youth section of the Berlinale 2011. The German film and media rating awarded the rating “particularly valuable”.

Reviews

Critic Katrin Hoffmann states that there are films “that only develop their effect when viewed a second time.” “Anne Sewitsky staged the novel 'Tilla loves Philipp' by the author Vigdis Hjorth, which was also published by us, lively and credibly. A girl on the verge of growing up, a state that she does not want to achieve at first. ”And also“ the viewer lives through the whole tragedy. What it means when a surge of emotions hits a girl who is not yet prepared for it. "

The website Kinoreview approves : “An enchanting film somewhere between French lightness, Norwegian melancholy and a large portion of beguiling acting. The way the director elicits credibility from her little actors deserves a separate award category. Anyone who manages to get involved with the emotional level of a ten-year-old will find 'Anne loves Philipp' their first unreserved recommendation at the Berlinale 2011. "
