Annegrete Riebesel

Annegrete Riebesel (* 1962 in Berlin ) is a German glass artist, graphic artist and restorer .

Live and act

Annegrete Riebesel learned the carpenter's trade from 1979 to 1981. Before starting her studies, she did a pre-study internship in the glass workshops in Quedlinburg . Then Annegrete Riebesel studied from 1989 to 1994 in the painting / graphics / glass design class at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art in Halle , then University of Art and Design Halle. In 1990 she took part in an international mosaic symposium in Bolzano / South Tyrol . A further participation took place in 1996 at the International Biennale for Glass Art "Venezia Aperto Vetro" in Venice . After graduating, she received a postgraduate course from 1994 to 1996 at the Burg Giebichenstein Art College in Halle (Saale).

Fascinated by the material glass , she has been working freelance in her own studio since 1996. She primarily deals with the techniques of glass painting and fusing , a glass melting process. Her work can be found in several public buildings. Her glass art can also be found in private buildings. In addition, she creates free drafts and graphics . Restoration work and wall painting are also part of her field of work.

She is a member of the Professional Association of Visual Artists Saxony-Anhalt .
