Anni Kroll

Anna-Mechtilde "Anni" Kroll , b. Boltersdorf (born November 8, 1919 in Drove ; † October 8, 2015 in Nideggen ) was a German author and local poet .

Kroll completed an apprenticeship as a pharmacy assistant. After retiring in 1979, she made the Düren dialect her hobby. She wrote poems and volumes of poetry in her native language. She stood in a row with the local poets Josef Schregel and Tillmann Gottschalk . In 1980 she joined the "Verein Dürener Platt".

Anni Kroll died on October 8, 2015, one month before her 96th birthday in a nursing home in Nideggen, completely blind .

Honors

For their commitment Kroll was founded in 1999 by the Rhineland Regional Council with the Rhineland Taler excellent.

In 2014 she also became an honorary member of the "Dürener Platt Association".
