Annie Baker (* 1981 in Boston ) is a Pulitzer Prize- winning American playwright .

biography

Annie Baker grew up in Amherst, Massachusetts and studied dramatic writing at New York University . In 2008 her first piece, Body Awareness, premiered in New York and was nominated for several prizes. She has also received numerous literary and theater awards for her works, Circle Mirror Transformation and The Aliens . In 2014, her play The Flick won the Pulitzer Prize for Best Play. In 2017, Baker was awarded a MacArthur Fellowship .

The playwright lives and works in New York City.
