Pulitzer Prize / Theater
The Pulitzer Prize's Theater (Drama) category has existed since 1917. There were none in 1917, 1919, 1942, 1944, 1947, 1951, 1963, 1964, 1966, 1968, 1972, 1974, 1986, 1997 and 2006 Award winners.
The Pulitzer Prize for Theater is awarded to the playwright of a drama . In the case of a musical drama ( Musical ) the award goes to all the authors of the piece, and indeed to the composer , the lyricist and author .
