Wendy Wasserstein
Wendy Wasserstein (born October 18, 1950 in Brooklyn , New York City , New York , † January 30, 2006 in New York City, New York) was an American playwright .
Life
Wendy Wasserstein was the sister of the investment banker Bruce Wasserstein (1947-2009).
She graduated from Mount Holyoke College with a degree in history in 1971 . In 1989 she received the Pulitzer Prize for the play The Heidi Chronicles . She wrote the screenplay for the 1998 comedy film Love in Every Relationship .
She was diagnosed with leukemia in December 2005 , which she did not disclose to the public. She finally died on January 30, 2006 of malignant lymphoma .
