The Schaller residence , also known as Schallerhof , is a protected architectural monument of the market town of Lana in South Tyrol .

history

The building was first mentioned in a document in 1430. In the 16th and 17th centuries the barons of Goldegg zu Lindenburg owned the property. At the same time, expansion and renovation work was carried out on the manor . In 1698 the Goldeggs sold the property to the captain of the Fürstenburg Rudolf von Federspiel. Later, Schaller was owned by the von Schöpfer gentlemen, who sold the farm to Jakob Margesin.

The house has a continuous facade bay window . A square tower with a boarded gable and gable roof is built on the east side . Inside there is an originally vaulted hall with a tram ceiling on round pillars. On the upper floor there are two paneled rooms, one of which has a donkey back bar from 1540. The second room is equipped with a field ceiling with a tooth cut frieze and a tiled stove .
