Ansumana Manneh (judicial officer)

Ansumana Manneh (* around 1970 in Lamin ) is a Gambian prison officer .

Life

Manneh joined the Gambia Prison Service (GPS) in 1988 and was initially stationed in the state central prison ( Mile 2 ) for a year before he was transferred to Janjanbureh . At the end of February 2017, he was appointed General Manager of the Gambia Prison Service by President Adama Barrow , replacing David Colley, who was alleged to be in abuses in the prisons. Prior to his appointment, (Commissioner) Manneh was Director of Jeshwang Prison in Old Jeshwang .
