António Carlos dos Santos (born October 3, 1979 in Guaíra ) is a Brazilian soccer player who last played for the Bulgarian first division club FC Chernomorets Burgas .

Career

His youth club in Brazil was Marechal Rondon . He looked for luck in Europe and played for the Swiss clubs Grasshoppers 2 (U 21), FC Winterthur , FC Frauenfeld and FC Baden . He then began his professional career in 2002 at FC Schaffhausen . In 2003 he moved to FC Thun . But just a year later he returned to FC Schaffhausen, where he stayed until 2005. The midfielder then moved to Grasshoppers Zurich on a free transfer.

After the championship game against FC Basel on March 19, 2008, he crashed into a house wall with his car in Niederhasli on his way home . The injuries sustained forced him to take a break of between six and eight months. At the beginning of 2009 he made his successful debut for the Grasshoppers. Shortly afterwards, he converted a direct free kick again. For the 2009/10 season he was awarded to FC Sion in exchange for Guilherme Afonso . In April 2010 he was terminated without notice by FC Sion after he had visited a casino the night before a league game with his teammates Aleksandar Mitreski and Aleksandar Prijović . In May, the 30-year-old dos Santos signed a two-year contract with the Bulgarian first division club FC Chernomorets Burgas . He moved to Bulgaria on a free transfer , where he stayed until August 2011 when Chernomorets Burgas FC broke the contract due to financial problems. Then he returned to FC Schaffhausen again.

Today dos Santos heads the soccer school of FC Schaffhausen.
