Niederhasli is a municipality in the district of Dielsdorf in the canton of Zurich in Switzerland .

The coat of arms of the Niederhasli community refers to the lords of Mandach , who owned large parts of today's political community in the Middle Ages. The barons of Tengen were once wealthy in Niederhasli .

geography
Niederhasli is located in the Glatttal in front of the entrance to the Wehntal between Dielsdorf and Rümlang . This area is part of the Zurich Unterland . The municipality also includes the villages of Oberhasli , Mettmenhasli and Nassenwil , the hamlet of Kastelhof, the Steinacker homestead and several individual farms.
history
Niederhasli was first mentioned in a document in 931 as Haslia and in 1442 came into the possession of the city of Zurich. The reformer Ulrich Bolt was pastor in Niederhasli from 1530 to 1534 . With Paul Böhringer another well-known theologian worked from 1875 to 1879 at this parish.

In the 2019 National Council elections, the share of the vote in Niederhasli was: SVP 42.51%, SP 13.14%, glp 12.23%, FDP 10.15%, Greens 8.17%, CVP 4.83%, EPP 2.68 %, EDU 2.58%, and BDP 1.63%.
Economy and Infrastructure
Niederhasli is primarily a commuter community. A large part of the population works in Zurich. There are two tank farms, a container transshipment point, a grain mill, a plastics factory and a few other small and medium-sized businesses in the municipality.
traffic
Niederhasli is on the Wehntalbahn (Oberglatt – Niederweningen), which is served by the S 15 Rapperswil - Uster - Zurich HB - Oberglatt - Niederweningen . The S 15 trains run every half hour.
Oberhasli is served by the ZVV bus route 797 (Rümlang – Oberhasli) from Rümlang train station every half hour during the day and every hour in the evening until 9:00 p.m. on weekdays and Saturdays . The bus is operated by the Glattal transport company (VBG) and serves the five stops Hasliberg , Spielplatz , Moosacker , Post and Dorf in Oberhasli .
In Niederhasli, the Hofstetterstrasse stop is served by the PostBus- operated ZVV bus line 510 (Zurich Airport - Kaiserstuhl AG), while the Dorf and Bahnhof stop is served by the PostBus bus line 535 (Niederhasli - Dielsdorf - Stadel b. N. ).
From Niederhasli train station, the town of Nassenwil can be reached hourly during the day via the Ruftaxi line 533 and the Oberhasli industry via the Ruftaxi line 534.
The village of Mettmenhasli is not accessible by public transport.
Others
Between Niederhasli and Mettmenhasli is the Mettmenhaslisee , also known colloquially as Näppi or Haslisee . The lake is fed by a groundwater surge and drained by the Haslibach. There is a nature reserve on the north bank of the lake, while a bathing establishment spreads out on the south bank.
