Paul Boehringer
Paul Böhringer (born September 1, 1852 in Glattfelden , † July 3, 1929 in Basel ) was a Swiss theologian .
Life
Paul Böhringer was born on September 1, 1852 in Glattfelden in the canton of Zurich as the son of pastor Georg Friedrich Böhringer . In Niederhasli he became pastor in 1875 (until 1879), and in 1877 private lecturer in theology at the University of Zurich . In the following year he gave up the pastor's office in Niederhasli and went to Basel to serve as a pastor at the local St. Peter parish. In that year he also became a private lecturer in church history at the University of Zurich. In 1896 he was promoted to professor . Böhringer died on July 3, 1929 in Basel.
