Antal Csengery
Antal Csengery (born June 2, 1822 in Großwardein , † July 13, 1880 in Budapest ) was a Hungarian journalist and politician .
Csengery was the editor of Pesti Hírlap newspaper . In 1848 he became Ministerialrat in the Hungarian Ministry of the Interior. In 1849 he became general secretary of the new Hungarian land credit institution. He was significantly involved in the preparation of the Austro-Hungarian Compromise . In 1861 and from 1868 to 1878 he was a member of the Ferenc Deáks party .
