Antal Stašek

Antal Stašek (actually Antonín Zeman, born July 22, 1843 in Stanový , † October 9, 1931 in Prague ) was a Czech lawyer and writer.

Antal Stašek studied law and worked as a lawyer in Semily for a long time . He wrote patriotic poetry, but then turned to the realistic representation of life in the Giant Mountains . Stašek also translated from Polish, Russian, French and German.

His son Ivan Olbracht was also a writer.
