The Ante is a river in France that runs in the Marne department in the Grand Est region . It rises in the municipality of Noirlieu , and drains in the upper reaches in an easterly direction. At Givry-en-Argonne , it turns north, follows the western edge of the Argonne Forest and, after a total of 26 kilometers, flows into the Aisne as a left tributary at the municipal boundary between Verrières and Châtrices .
