It belongs to the arrondissement Châlons-en-Champagne (until 2017: Arrondissement Sainte-Menehould ), to the canton Argonne Suippe et Vesle (until 2015: canton Givry-en-Argonne ) and to the municipal association Région de Suippes founded in 2014 .

Sivry-Ante is 38 kilometers east-northeast of Châlons-en-Champagne and about 69 kilometers east-southeast of Reims . Sivry-Ante is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Braux-Saint-Remy in the north and north-west, Villers-en-Argonne in the north, Le Chemin in the east, Le Vieil-Dampierre in the south, Épense in the south and south-west and Dampierre-le-Château in the West.

In 1967 the localities of Ante and Sivry-sur-Ante were combined to form today's municipalities of Sivry-Ante .
