Mourmelon-le-Petit is located about 33 kilometers east-southeast of the city center of Reims on Vesle , which borders the municipality to the west. Mourmelon-le-Petit is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Sept-Saulx in the north and west, Baconnes in the north and north-east, Mourmelon-le-Grand in the east, and Livry-Louvercy in the south.
