Somme-Suippe is about 33 kilometers northeast of the city center of Chalons-en-Champagne . The river Suippe has its source here . Somme-Suippe is surrounded by the neighboring communities Souain-Perthes-lès-Hurlus in the north, Wargemoulin-Hurlus and Laval-sur-Tourbe in the northeast, Saint-Jean-sur-Tourbe in the east, Somme-Tourbe in the southeast, Saint-Remy- sur-Bussy in the south, Bussy-le-Château in the south-west and Suippes in the west and north-west.
