Saint-Germain-la-Ville is a French commune with 671 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Marne department in the Grand Est region (before 2016 Champagne-Ardenne ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Châlons-en-Champagne and the canton of Châlons-en-Champagne-3 (until 2015 Marson ).

Saint-Germain-la-Ville is located about ten kilometers south-southeast of Châlons-en-Champagne on the Moivre River and the Canal latéral à la Marne , which run parallel to the Marne at a distance of about two kilometers . Neighboring communities are Chepy in the north and northwest, Marson in the northeast, Vésigneul-sur-Marne in the south and east, Togny-aux-Bœufs in the south and southwest and Mairy-sur-Marne in the west and southwest.

The National Route 44 runs through the municipality .
